With a winter arrival, now it is a good time to declutter our storage areas and to clean and decorate our homes for a holidays season and the coming new year!

I normally keep my living areas in a good order, but the storage areas need a revamp and revision once in a while.
The same is true for my wardrobes (which is a kind of "storage area" as well).

First, I ask myself where I need an improvement, and the following three areas came to my mind:

1. Laundry room: besides  hampers, detergents iron and drying needs, we also store there our cleaning tools and chemicals, reserve toilet paper, kitchen paper towels, bags, containers, floor mats, buckets and washbowls and other items for various dirty and not so dirty chores ( e.g. bathing our doggy). For some  reason I also used  to dry or make up my hair in this room...
2. Pantry in the garage:  This is a rectangular appendix in the garage, which serves as well organized storage area for garden working clothes and showes, tools and items, t contains shelving for storing winter harvest and containers, and a freezer. Lately it accumulated a lot of catch-up items,  some of which must go and others must be sorted and stored more efficiently.
3. Garden shed: at the end of each season I check all planting material: seeds and spring bulbs stored there  and to trash any old things.
