El español Javier Gómez Noya, que se encuentra en México preparando los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio, se ha impuesto este domingo en la Challenge Cancún. El triatleta gallego, pentacampeón mundial y plata olímpica en Londres 2012, venció con una notable autoridad, con un crono de 03:46:36, con 04:01 de ventaja sobre el suizo Ruedi Wild. A 04:37 llegó a meta el estadounidense Andy Potts. La prueba constó de 1.900 metros de natación, 90 kilómetros de ciclismo y 21 de carrera a pie.
