Dear Mr. President,
Congratulations on your victory, now the world is watching for all the change that you will bring to the office in upcoming years!

Until now many topics has been raised which include economy, health care, pensions and etc. but question remain what about the PLANET in PERIL? Can we start paying attention to cruelty around us on day to day basis? Before being elected as a president you have said "I think how we treat our animals reflects how we treat each other. And it's very important that America have a president who is mindful of the cruelty that is perpetrated on animals.

I know that you are in demand from all directions and already have a lot to do in your own country, but with more species of animals soon to be become extinct, I am writing to urge you to support efforts to end Canada's cruel commercial seal hunt. This hunt only continues to exist because it is propped up by a range of government subsidies and taxpayers money. The vast majority of Canadians and caring people worldwide have been calling for an end to the hunt and the time to act is now. How ironic that two days after Russia announced an end to its commercial harp seal hunt, Canada is condemning one-third of the pups born to a cruel and unnecessary death.

Please use your unique position as a representative of all Americans and the citizens of the world to fight for an end to this cruel slaughter.

There is a situation in which we need your help – please help us to prevent gross killing babies. It’s not human children – baby seals, but they’re still cubs. In these days they’re just getting born, but already in few weaks hunters’ll start to kill’em. Bay Seals’re crying and screaming “Momy!!!!” exactly like human babies. Their mothers hear their screams, they’re screaming and crying, seeing how someone kills their children but they can’t help, they’re not able to protect and save’em from this sufferings.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of baby harp seals are slaughtered on the ice fields off Canada's east coast for their pelts. Over 95% of the seals killed during this hunt are just days or weeks old. 79% of the sealers did not check to see if an animal was dead before skinning it. In 40% of the kills a sealer had to strike the seal a second time, presumably because it was still conscious after the first blow or shot. 42% of killed seals examined were found to have minimal or no fractures, suggesting a high probability that these seals were conscious when skinned.
In the same week that Russia annouced an end to the hunting of seals under a year old, the Canadian goverment released today that they will allow for the slaughter of 280,000 harp seal pups this year. Hunting was opened at March 23!
This is outrageous. This quota is completely indefensible. It’s not supported by markets, it’s not supported by the DFO’s own management plan, and it’s certainly not going to be supported by the majority of Canadians.

Dear Mr. President, You have the power –PLEASE, help baby seals from all over the world. We’re sure YOU CAN help with it – SAVE THE LIVES OF THIS SNOW ANGELS for this and next generations! PLEASE!!!
