Если бы я делал отчёт о самых ярких событиях прошлого 2009 года, то в номинации «фильм года» я бы указал «Мэри и Макс» («Mery and Max») от австралийского Адама Бенжамина Эллиота. Я уже неоднократно писал об этом фильме, я постоянно о нём рассказываю, я смотрю и пересматриваю его почти каждую неделю. Основное, что меня покорило в этом фильме – это дружба, настоящая крепкая искренняя дружба между людьми разного пола и возраста, разного менталитета и с разных континентов. В этом есть особый смысл, даже философия. Фильм основан на реальных событиях. В конце фильма я плакал… И теперь, когда смотрю фильм повторно, выключаю не досмотрев до конца, когда Макс ещё жив и прекрасно себя чувствует… Мне не нравится конец фильма, он жестокий, но наверное, он просто настоящий. Гениальная работа режиссёра…
Недавно я специально нашёл сайт Адама Эллиота, посвящённый его творчеству и фильму «Мэри и Макс» и написал своё мнение на указанный почтовый ящик. Сегодня мне пришёл ответ из Австралии от Саманты (Samantha Fitzgerald) помощницы и ассистента Адама Эллиота. На минуту мне показалось, что я Макс, а Саманта Мэри. Впервые в жизни мне написали из Австралии, мне написали как другу, очень тепло, очень открыто. Письмо от Саманты начиналось со слов: «Дорогой, Нарцисс…».
В своём первом письме я задал вопрос, что вдохновляет Адама на создание своих произведений («Мэри и Макс» не единственная работа режиссёра), есть ли у Адама муза. Саманта мне ответила, что у Адама нет музы, но его вдохновляют люди и друзья, окружающие его и особенно его мама.
Мне бы хотелось узнать больше о творчестве этого гениального режиссёра, для меня его фильм «Мэри и Макс» как знак свыше, как рождение звезды, как стимул для большей веры в себя… Сложно так просто словами описать все те эмоции, которые я испытываю, когда смотрю этот фильм. Это мой любимый фильм. Спасибо Адаму и Саманте, спасибо Максу и Мэри… Я бы хотел научиться так же дружить даже на большом расстоянии, это дар. Но в моей истории будет счастливый конец, когда друзья встретятся в конце…

This is my favorite movie. Thanks to Adam and Samantha, thanks to Max and Mary ... I would like to learn to just be friends, even from a distance, it is a gift. But in my history will be a happy ending, when friends meet in the end ...
