While there is no English menu available, the staff members are cordial and despite their limited proficiency in English, they are accommodating and willing to assist customers. As a marriott 10+ years member, I always trying to stay at Marriott so I choose this hotel and I always recommended friend to stay at Marriott brand hotel. This is first time I would say DO NOT come to this hotel. There is plenty of other hotel better and nicer hotel than this one in Taitung. Great coffee, friendly people in a characteristic store. The book store café, 食冊cafe書店, is a charming and serene establishment where one can enjoy a peaceful cup of tea or coffee. It boasts an impressive assortment of books that cover various genres such as literature, cooking, and social sciences. Smelly tofu with herbal soup was really hearty and comforting, which was perfect for a cold rainy day. There were also pork chop and the usual oyster omelette. I’ve been to many and this one was very well put together. The price is very affordable for both locals and tourists. My husband and I really enjoyed learning through the exhibits. Amazing performing artists, a night of magic, music, trinkets and food.

The tiramisu has a perfect balance of liquor and bittersweet flavors, leaving a lasting impression. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is softly lit with ample space for reading, and the high-ceilinged design creates a comfortable atmosphere. The cakes are equally delightful, making for a pleasant experience overall.
The handicrafts of Hill-tribes village are affordable but eye-catching and attractive. Even though I know water can not run up hill, it still leaves you confused. Small garden area above which is maintained to a very high standard. Former farm irrigation channel where water appears to flow uphill, with washrooms, parking & kiosks. Cooked food was really good but much of raw fish in dishes was still frozen. The restaurant apparently experiences shortages of soy sauce- it was strictly rationed and we had to constantly remind stuff to give us some more. One of the must-try snacks is Tieguanyin Tea Cake, which is a small pastry filled with sweet red bean paste and infused with the fragrant taste of Tieguanyin tea.
