The Rocket Summer - пауэр-поп команда родом из города Коллейвиль, штат Техас. Хотя командой это назвать можно весьма условно - за всем стоит талантливый певец и мультиинструменталист Брюс Эйвери, который поёт и играет на всём, что участвует в записи. Песни его, в большинстве своём, характеризуются мощной подачей, разнообразными аранжировками и оптимистичными текстами.

В музыке Эйвери почти с самого детства - свой первый сингл он выпустил уже в 16 лет. Песни с него попали на местную радиостанцию и за короткое время стали самыми востребованными в эфире. Вскоре о музыканте узнали и вне Америки - на гребне обретённой популярности проект The Rocket Summer выпускает дебютный альбом Calendar Days, который хотя и был низкобюджетной записью, всё же стал большим хитом и в Японии.

С выходом второй пластинки Hello, Good Friend, успех The Rocket Summer только продолжил расти - более зрелая и профессиональная работа, спродюсированная Тимом О'Хэйром, получила поддержку даже в христианском мире. Несмотря на то, что Эйвери не позиционировал свою музыку именно так, позитивные и жизнеутверждающие гимны отлично вписались в христианскую идеологию.

В 2007 году свет увидел третий номерной релиз под названием Do You Feel - первая пластинка The Rocket Summer на лейбле Island Def Jam Records.
