I wonder how many football fans do we have among you… The Euro’s coming! Some of us will definitely be watching (and being emotional) about the games played out in the next few weeks. If you’re a football fan, let’s talk about it in our forums!

Reminder: if you want to add a discussion topic to the upcoming meeting agenda:
- Start a thread in the Community Forums, so that everyone in the community can see what will be discussed and voice their opinion here before Wednesday (this will make it easier to have an efficient meeting).
- Please do so as soon as you can before the meeting, so that people have time to read, think, and reply (and also add it to the agenda).
- If you can, please attend the meeting in person (or via IRC), so we can follow up on your discussion topic during the meeting with your feedback.

Community

PLATFORM REMINDER! We are currently testing Lithium’s capabilities. You can learn more about Lithium here. Please note that this does not mean we have reached a final decision regarding the future of SUMO’s technical backend. We will be sharing more information with you shortly. If you’re interested in playing with a sandbox environment, let Michal know.
LONDON WORK WEEK! If you are there, look out for SUMO folks – we’re happy to meet in person! We do have a Telegram channel for comms, by the way.
- We are not 100% sure at this stage if we’ll be able to stream or record any of the meetings there, but we’ll do our best to keep you updated – and there will be a report-out once we’re back to our headquarters again.
Speaking of England… Shout-outs to Yousef, who’s been around for quite a while, and has also supported SUMO.

Support Forum

Version 47 came out recently – we are keeping track of all the patterns and issues that need more attention in this thread.
Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the troubleshooting of an erroneously repeated email notification sent out last week to one of our new contributors.

Knowledge Base & L10n

If you are a member of the Firefox for iOS Beta group and you have an iOS device, please help us write articles.
Starting with version 48, we’ll use public Trello boards to share content progress and localization readiness.
The Italian L10ns have a new Reviewer on board – say hi to Gianluca!
Reminder: Firefox for Android v47 documents are ready – get localizing!
Reminder: L10n hackathons everywhere! Find your people and get organized!

Firefox

for Android
- Version 47 launched – woohoo!
  - You can now show or hide web fonts” in advanced settings, to save your data and increase page loading speeds.
- Final reminder: Android 2.3 is no longer a supported platform after the recent release.
- Version 48 articles will be coming after June 18, courtesy of Joni!

for Desktop
- Version 47 support discussion thread.
  - The new version includes VP9 video codec for users with fast machines.
  - Embedded youtube.com videos will play with HTML5 if Flash is not installed.
  - Add-ons using FUEL are no longer supported.
  - The whitelist for activating plugins through clicking has been removed, except for Flash.
  - Service workers have some new logging tools in the Developer Tools.
  - More details about all of the above (and more – web encryption, security fixes) can be found in the release notes.

for iOS
- Firefox for iOS 4.0 IS HERE
- Firefox for iOS 5.0 should be with us in approximately 3 weeks! It should be out as early as June 21 (subject to Apple’s approval) and Joni is writing English articles (please help us write them – more details here).
