Welcome to the November 2015 issue of TS&MF, the world’s No. 1 magazine for collectors of all stripes!
This month’s feature stories are kicked off by Terry Priest, a Leyton Orient loyalist who takes the field to tackle taking a look at his U.K. club’s historic role in forming the World War I British Army Middlesex Regiment’s first Football Battalion. A century ago, the club was called Clapton Orient. Its ties to our hobby included several players who actually worked on making toy figures in the nearby Britains factory in Walthamstow, East London.
Elsewhere, collector Keith Nairn-Munro gallops into action to take aim at chronicling the history of the British Royal Horse Artillery with toy soldier items. Curtis Sleight’s sense of humor shines through in an account of how collecting figures of the Laurel and Hardy comedy duo in uniform keep him laughing.
In addition, Colin Romanick delivers a report on the W. Britain Model Figure Symposium staged July 24-26, 2015, in historic Gettysburg, Pa., USA. As usual, there’s lots more in store in this edition, so please start turning the pages, enjoy and, as always, happy collecting! Toy Soldier & Model Figure magazine is the world's number one magazine for collectors of all stripes. A colorful month
