This issue is our homage to the cuisine that I have learned to love, and is loved by so many. We have labored long and hard to bring you as much of the archipelago's food as we can. Our writer Rian Farisa headlines a Special Section we have called Our Indonesia, wherein he features eight of the country's cuisines. A veritable tour of the breadth of the country. We have an article on Demystifying Rendang and a photo essay by our photographer Dennie Benedict on tempe and mie lethek factories in Jogjakarta. We also joined the fun and friendly gang of Aku Cinta Masakan Indonesia (ACMI) as they share a table laden with some great Indonesian food. Including features on progressive Indonesian cuisine by chefs Vindex Tengker, Andrian Ishak and Talita Setyadi. Plus profiles on Mario Lawalata, Arie Parikesit, Rahung and Ibu Tobing. This is our biggest issue yet, and fitting enough since we talk about the local cuisines which so many of our friends have been working tirelessly to promote. I do hope you enjoy reading through this issue as much as we have enjoyed eating the foods you see in it! Happy reading and eating!
