we are using cpanel and solved it like this;

I resolved this by removing bind-chroot from /etc/yum.conf exclude line then running yum install bind-chroot then yum remove bind-chroot then adding bind-chroot back to /etc/yum.conf exclude line.

This restored named to default, i then rebuild named.conf by running /scripts/rebuildnamedconf and /scripts/fixnamedviews.

Named is running normally now and should not be any further problem.
