The Greater Limpadur (Primoplastovenator horribilis) is a species of basal Armadilloarmatid Ichthyomorph from the southern waters near the Leviathan Islands.

The animal is found in the Demersal zone under the reefs off the coasts of its native archipelago, scanning the waters around it with its strong hearing and excellent echolocation capabilities, attacking anything big enough to attract its attention at the depth level it inhabits.

The animal's poor eyesight is a direct consequence of its deep-sea ancestry, only having migrated to the photic zone relatively recently.

The species still synthetizes only chlorophyll-like molecules inside the eyes able to sense green wavelengths but otherwise is unable to perceive other lights; this is due to their ancestry, which lost the ability to sense unneeded wavelenghts in an environment in which most prey species communicated through green light.

The animal was pushed to shallower areas by superior competitors that migrated from the north-eastern waters off of the Irobian Continent around 10 million years ago.

To supplement the poor eyesight, the species adapted its dentition to allow for less precise attacks, focusing on crushing force instead of severing power.

The animal communicates its position to other conspecifics by producing a constant rhythmic clicking.
