Part of the reason I enjoy drawing so many Pokemon as birds is because my honest interpretation of vague Pokemon designs is to relate them to an animal in some way. Often I find myself defaulting to birds! Latias is possibly one of the biggest examples of this.

Now with Klefki here it's much more of a personal challenge that I find very fun!

I've also had people be judgmental about my Pokemon designs before-- telling me they're not accurate, or wrong in some way-- so I find it fun to ignore those comments and have fun with the designs as I please. People often expect artists to draw a Pokemon a certain way if that artist is making their Pokemon look more "realistic". They expect a mouse for pikachu, and a frog for bulbasaur-- etc. But unless someone wants to draw a fictional creature that way, who cares how they choose to work the anatomy!
