The African Lung or Nguma Monene, as it is more commonly known by, is the westernmost species of lung known. An aggressive and vicious ambush hunter of the deep forest, their scaled hide and silent footfalls making them invisible in the thick forest, many local tribes hold great fear of them, so much so that it is even considered taboo to talk about it, when western explorers first heard of the beast it was originally thought to be some sort of lost saurian or lizard it wasn't until the early 90's, on an expedition to find the mokele-mbembe, that it was discovered to be in fact a species of lung.
Reaching lengths of around 30 feet, with half of that being tail, they are the top jungle predators of the Congo able to bring down all but the most tenacious of prey including hippo, elephant, emela-ntouka, and kasai drakes. Like all lung they contain a specialized venom in their saliva which they utilize to help bring down large prey, one well placed bite and the venom will seep into the victims bloodstream insuring a kill even if the prey escapes.
