STAR FOX III Original Soundtrack by iteachvader


Let's imagine there is a Nintendo company in the 1995 alternate universe that doesn't suck as much as ours. And she, at the very beginning of the SNES life cycle, created the first Star Fox, the success of which spawned the sequel Star Fox 2, and then, towards the end of the SNES era, released the third part. Of course, then there will be new consoles and new games for them, but if Star Fox III existed for the SNES, then this would be reflected in subsequent releases. For example: Star Fox 64 already in 1997 could be similar to Star Fox Assault in gameplay. And instead of the mediocre Star Fox Command, there will be some other game, perhaps focused on portable online battles with friends. There will be a successful crossover with F-Zero that Nintendo wouldn't throw in the trash and focus on improving game mechanics for the new games in the racing series.

I started drawing this concept back in early 2020 when I found the Star Fox III fan soundtrack on YouTube (playlist link at the beginning of the description), and then wanted to draw a cover for this nonexistent game. But after a while, I thought about creating an entire article similar to the official Nintendo Power magazine. I had to draw more pictures, including "screenshots" of the game. Unfortunately, I am not very good at pixel art and have not been able to draw many of them because it is not as easy as it seems. After a month of work, I abandoned the project and returned to it only closer to the Christmas holidays.

Finally! Now lunch is on the clock, the calendar indicates January 1, 2021, and I am sharing with you the results of my work. Six pages of the magazine on three fake "scans". This is my little New Year's gift to all Star Fox fans. I wish that the new year will bring everyone as much happiness as the previous year took!
