Wow, where to begin on this one...So I only recently played this for the first time a few weeks ago! I watched the Video of the Gaming Historian on the Gameboy Super Mario Titles and this one really piqued my interest. I loved the idea of Mario being in another world, with a different princess and enemies. I have Drawn the Goombas and Koopa Troopas countless times, so it was refreshing to draw so many of these new enemies! A lot of the parts of this poster are like mini-posters in themselves when you zoom in on them. I loooooved Mario in the Submarine and Airplane, and just had to draw both of those into the poster, and the Pyramids and Easter Island Statues were a lot of fun to draw as well. I decided to make it night time also with light coming from the foreground casting cool shadows on the brick background. and the Blocks for the Border are actual blocks from the third Level/world of the game! (recreated in Photoshop)... This poster was so much fun to do and I hope you all enjoy it! The only thing I regret with it, is that I completely forgot to leave room for Daisy somewhere in it! This is the game where she makes her first appearance in this game. there sadly isn't a good place to work her in now, without changing up the placement of a lotta characters, so it is what it is (Sorry to any Daisy enthusiasts out there) lol anyway, here is Super Mario Land for the Gameboy!
