It is almost a classical dilemma when it comes to selecting the chromatic way of photos processing: color or B/W.
the fact that the history of photography starts and continued to develop for so many decades with the B/W as the only possibility and that all its giant creators have only produced B/W works weights, of course, in making the assessment, especially when focused on street photography.
As people remain addicted to the B/W of the old days and to the "silver flavor" of the the celluloid film days it's somehow unique to this domain.
I have experienced by myself and have seen so many examples of how the technological progress eliminates virtually the "old technology" in its essence and even in its totality. For instance let's just as an example refer to the rotary dial phones that all youngsters would certainly have a hard time to guess their functionality and way of operation. No one would these days use such a telephone certainly.
Therefore, I tried to identify what would be a criterion to select your way of processing in the quite seldom case one could make a decision at this crossroad. Despite so many case-studies analyzed, I wasn't able to get to a clear-cut condition that in the event stated above as caption and namely when the color itself becomes the subject as in the example herein below:
