Two years.

Two years and nearly 200 pages later.

Some days are better than others--sometimes it's difficult to force myself up and at the computer to dig into my creative spring and hammer in comic work. Other days it's like the creative energy just flows out of me and there's no stopping it.

I love my crazy kids, both born directly from me and that I've adopted in. Never before in my life have I pursued a creative endeavor this long and this consistently. Before Lost Souls, if I got stuck on something, then the creative spring peters out and I move on to the next project. And so on. But Lost Souls has stayed ever-present in my project list. Whenever I get stuck, sure I'd move on to another foundling project for a little bit, but eventually Lost Souls calls me back and I can continue working like I never left.

And then there's you guys; the audience.

My intentions with this comic are not to gain a following. I uploaded this comic because in the very beginning stages of working on it I realized that I had something that could last a while, and it felt like such a waste to not share it with more than just myself. You guys have accepted me and Lost Souls with open arms, and it's already become something that I wasn't expecting so soon.

So as much as this little piece is to celebrate my own personal achievements, it's also a little thank-you gift to you:
