Salomи was one the most controversial characters of mythology. She's the perfect representation of femme-fatale, with her sadic desire of people's death but, as the famous quote said, Memento Mori is attempting her too.
About the painting, i take inspiration to her unusual power and sensuality. She dancing in a -surreal- last moment of life, where Salomи try to hide the desperation and pain in an arrogance and pasadoxical attachment of life.

Tools: 35x50cm Fabriano paper mounted on wooden frame. Mixed media, Watercolors, Luminance Colored Pencils, Ecoline and Gold Ink.
