I wanted to design a abandoned gateway environment, which shows the massive scale of how invaders transported big armies of soldiers and vehicles. So i tested out a few composition ideas and used fractals as the main base shape for the gateway. Really had a lot of fun doing this piece and learnt a lot about colors too

My take on the SMBSS. I'd love to work on the concept art and produce a modern SMBSS. I'd focus on the adventures of Mario and his crew without adhering to any particular game for inspiration to keep it from seeming outdated. It would heavily look to Mario 1 and 2 for inspiration with some elements from 3 and World thrown in for good measure. I see it as a return to the basics of the series without the more ridiculous elements. No more pasta world, sherlock homes land, or anything like that. Just adventures in the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms as well as locales like the Koopahari Desert or Dinosaur and Giant Islands. Again, simplify and streamline.

In this piece you'll notice that the majority of the color schemes reflect the looks we saw in the original SMBSS. King Koopa has been replaced with my own design that is closer in it's look to Bowser while retaining some DIC/Valliant comic elements. I've also changed the Koopa and Hammer Bros to resemble the SMW character model; I found that one to be more interesting than those in the original series.

As much as I hate being a stickler, I have to say a hard no. I've dealt with so much IP-theft over the years, many of which was commercial, that I have to be extraordinarily careful. Can I make a 3D model of this artwork?

Okay, so here is where I make an exception. This is permissible if the work is ONLY for portfolio use and has proper credit --preferably somewhere on the still image itself, but I'm fine with it being somewhere in the description. You cannot sell the model, use it in a project outside of portfolio use, enter it into a competition for money or post it without credit.

Can I get a tattoo of this artwork?

I'm generally fine with this; tattoos are personal and I'm flattered that some people like my work enough to get it inked on themselves. I only have the following restrictions: that the tattoo parlor does not use the design to advertise their shop in any way and that the tattoo design isn't heavily modified or edited to be vulgar.
