Sonic in half of his Werehog form.

I decided to go with this look to showcase the half-moon form, where he shows more of the Werehog side but still look a bit like his normal form. The gloves become fingerless gloves, with the wrists torn by the fluff. Sonic keeps his long legs, which the full form will shorten to allow bigger arms. The skin changes from pale to white, and it will become blue on full form. The speed significantly decreases. Overall, Sonic is a Half-Werehog.

Day 14: Splendid Garden Eel

" Shy marine eel-like merfolk that could be found in tropical waters with sandy stretches and reefs, they live in communities or just alone buried in the sand.

These merfolks are rather shy around other merfolk species and sea creatures, they will retreat to their burrow at the slightest sign of danger unless they are familiar with another merfolk. When this happens they interact cautiously and will retreat if there is too much excitement going on. Garden Eel merfolk eat plankton raising out of their burrows to filter feed. They can live alone or in groups of up to a thousand as they quite peaceful amongst their own.

When it comes to interactions with humans it's no different, they will retreat to their burrow and not come out of it until the human is gone.

In this week's photoshop piece, I wanted to create something a little darker ... ominous towers, spires, castles have always stood out to me - I guess it's the lure of not knowing what hides within. For this piece I wanted to capture certain elements from the references I mention in the video, and create a scene, a place of menace and dark power.

Battlestar is a DNA sample of Asteroidian, a race of starfish-like creatures originally believed to be from the watery moon Delmana, home to Octopound and Clawdads species. They no longer reside there and are the only race of Delmana to become spacefaring. They journey through the cosmos to other ocean bearing worlds where they use their abilities to improve water quality.

Battlestar possesses advanced hydrokinesis, able to manipulate massive volumes of water. Hes able to do this because of an ability he has to produce an electrical charge that is equal to the charge of water, allowing him to effectively render it weightless, he can then manipulate this field to change the shape and direction of the water. In tandem with this, his boneless physiology makes him exceedingly flexible and agile, able to preform impressive flips and leaps. Hes at least 5 times as strong as a human, able to manipulate several hundred pounds. Like all of his kind, Battlestar is capable of regeneration, able to quickly reform severed limbs. Battlestar can solidify the outer layers of his skin to form hard spiked armor.

As for weaknesses, Battlestar cant breathe on land and has to wear a breathing apparatus, if its damaged he will suffocate. Battlestar must remain wet in order to survive, he is at serious risk of drying out. If he dries out and gets injured, it will take far longer to regenerate. If hes completely dehydrated, he wont be able to regenerate at all.

Battlestars species name Asteroidian comes from the Latin class name for the Starfish, Asteroidea.

Alchemy tools art-studies

The shapes of these tools were referenced from engravings related to the alchemical craft, as well as photos of the reconstruction of alchemists' laboratories.
I needed these art-studies for worldbuilding, of course. Now, I have a small baggage of knowledge about the bizarre devices that human kind once used.

Day 13: Giant Pacific Octopus

" One of the most intelligent and crafty of merfolk, Octomaids as they are usually known as are soft-bodied marine merfolk that can be found almost everywhere.

Intelligent and crafty merfolk Octomaids, especially these species, can solve complex problems as well as outsmarting prey and foe alike. They can escape from containers quite easily and can fit through small spaces with ease. Along with these abilities, they are the masters of disguise as they can camouflage into their surroundings, this helps escape foes and sneak up on unsuspecting prey. Octomaids are carnivores and eat a variety of prey, usually, fish and other merfolk, in particular, enjoy preying upon Crustaceanoids the most.

When the male blind-peacock faces female, it opens all of its eyes for a staring fight.
The female which only has two normal eyes cannot stand against it for long, and ends up accepting his courtship.

But when it stares at the human or other creatures, it's not a courtship but a threat of killing.

You have to imitate the blind-peacock's ceremony of peace to survive, by blinking sixth, thirteenth, and twenty-eighth eyes three times.
