Well...This probably took me over 15 hours over several days. I'm happy with it! Wish we had had more time in the contest, but oh well. A lot of the entries(that I think are really good btw) are more realistic looking as far as style goes. So I hope this is something different and enjoyable(no one else has done a comic strip )

For those not familiar with Primal Carnage Extinction it's a dino v human shooter game(similar to tf2 in gameplay). It's still a relatively young game, so it has some bugs, but it is enjoyable. If you like playing as a dinosaur, or any animal, and think you might have fun with this game please check it out on steam. They have death match, get to the chopper(which is a area capture type of game), Survival(basically horde mode), and free roam(hang out and rp servers).

The spirit of winter has finally come home. Just look how happy she is~ We got snow just a day ago and from having +13 degrees celcius we now have -20! But I love snow and cold so bring it!!!! <3333

Winter is a handmade semi-posable art doll. Her legs and horn is sculpted in resin, the head is sculpted in super sculpey and later casted and everything is painted with acrylics and sealed. Eyes are glossy for a life like look. Winter is 50cm - 19.7 inches.

A clean, minimalist spider this time around.

Clockwork Spider No 73
completed January 4, 2016

Spider No 73 was made completely with recycled watch parts and an automotive light bulb, and is held together with lead free silver bearing solder.

In order to create the legs, many watch stems and band springs must be cut in different sizes to simulate the organic appearance of real spiders legs, which vary in size and shape between species. Each of these segments is carefully arranged into a leg and soldered at the joints with lead free, silver bearing solder. Each side of four legs is then soldered together at the base, forming what looks like a claw.

To make the body of the spider, several watch strap springs were soldered together to which a clear recycled automotive light bulb has been added. This spider has pincers made from a cut balance wheel.

After the body is made, the leg assemblies are carefully arranged and attached by soldering. The legs and body are then manipulated in order to make the spider stand properly. All joints are then resoldered for added stiffness.

Spider No 73 measures 50mm wide by 50mm front to back by 18mm tall.

All creations made by A Mechanical Mind are one of a kind, never to be reproduced exactly. All parts are soldered, never glued. This sculpture comes with a 3 wide by 4 tall glass display dome with wooden base. Sculptures are not toys and should be handled sparingly, as their parts are tiny and delicate.

2016 is testing me already, so I did this to destress a little bit. This picture was incredibly fun to do, but also reminded me how rusty I was with doing a fully illustrated piece. Most of my artwork from 2015 stayed in sketch/concept form, so my goal for this year is to do a lot more finished pieces.

After making Applejack in this style, I thought Rarity would work in it as well. So I did.
While listening to some fitting Ludovico Einaudi.

I made Applejack fancier based on her Applejewel appearance, but how do I make an already fancy pony fancier? Hairstyles of course!. I got in a hairy situation, but I managed to brush myself out of it.

I'm having too much fun with these ears haha, there's something enjoyable about them, getting that mix between human, horse and stylistic elements. The entire face shape in general, though. But the ear is more noticable in comparison to some other designs I've used.

Going into 2016, I actually did not expect or planned to do this style again. It was a nice surprise on how well it seemed to work for me. I had the same feeling a year ago with the figurine style. It just kinda happened, and worked.
