Ah, distinctly I remember, it was in the bleak December, And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor. Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of sorrow...

One year ago I started doing daily speedpaints. Initially to give me something to do during the day (as I was at home dealing with some bad health-related issues) and to keep my mind away from all the worries. But eventually it helped to drag me out of depression and sparked my interest for drawing and writing even more.
It's been a year. And even though my health is severely limiting my drawing time, I still feel like I've made some progress. But maybe even more important; I've had some real good fun
I was asked why I don't post any art lately. I would love to tell you that I'm just to buisy to stay up to date here, but to be honest, I just don't feel like sharing anything right now. In the last months I tried to work on my traditional skills, started to learn some new programs and evaluated my workflows, but I completed nearly no paintings.
I have the feeling that I am getting better in what I do -slowly, but steady. But it also feels as if I don't have any interesting stories to tell. And I don't want to bother people with unfinished sketching paractices and half baked, uninspired paintings. Nevertheless, I will try to show a bit more of my process (starting today), because I came to realise, that I just need some more input to create art, and because I was reminded, that some of you would appreciate it (thanks Stephanie !).
This painting is titled no mans land. It started as a speedpainting for Daily Spitpaint in January (!) and I began painting it one month later. I liked the initial concept and composition, but the painting just wasn't going anywhere. I repainted the water, the trees, the Sky, the soil. Multiple times. It felt like I forgot how to paint even the simple stuff and on top of that, I killed most of my values on several occasions. My plan was to leave the water luminescent and to bring more color to the gray areas, but I was't able to get those parts together. Giving up wasn't an option anymore, because shit got personal here! I showed it to Lukas Esch and Sid Chaturvedi and they helped me to improve it drastically (thanks again guys ). But still, I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong. I annoyed Ruschkala Bingbong every time I layed hands on it and she always found something to improve, but during summer, I couldn't handle it anymore and had to do a break. Until then, approx. 30-40 hours went into the painting (which is waaay more than I use to need). And most of the time was spent repainting single details, and not tackling the real issues it had.
2 weeks ago I gave it a new shot, merged everything, resized it, overpainted everything, and it is the best version so far. It's still not what I hoped for, but for now, I leave it as it is.
If you guys have any comments whatsoever, please write down your thoughts; I would really appreciate more input here. Also, whats your opinion on social media and DA, frequent posting and/ or not posting at all?
I always have a can of mixed nuts around, the truth of the matter is i LOVE nuts (excluding the human kind lol). This simple parfait i made a few days back was quite simple to make and delicious indeed

I designed the original set of birthstone dragons about a year and a half ago, and it was finally time for an update. I've been tweaking some of the designs here and there, plus I changed my October design (and actually split it into two different stones/designs). Plus, my sculpting style has changed a bit since then and the old pictures were starting to look at bit dated. So here's an updated picture of the full set of thirteen dragons - one for each month, plus an extra for October. They are so colorful when viewed as a group, I love it!
This is a set of repeatable designs that I offer through my Etsy shop. You can see them all here.

I saw this card yesterday and it was perfect and doodled this por mi novio " title="Heart" />" title="Heart" /> (you've lost her) I took a picture before I wrote all the mushy stuff in it. Yeah, you really think I was gonna show you what I wrote in it? --- He told me about how he fell asleep while waiting for geese to fall in his trap and i thought that was so cute so I had to draw it xDDD (he was telling me about the odd places he sleeps, such a hard worker!)
---- I recently took my calculus test and it was terrible so instead of biking home I went behind the horticulture building to freaking cry for an hour in an abandoned garden. I texted him but didn't really want to burden him too much (he didn't sign up for this) and he was kind of quiet so I asked some friends for uh "help" uh, uh "help" (wink wink) anyways later I started watching King of the Hill "Just push all your feelings down into your stomach" and started to get a bit of a lol, and cheered up a bit; motivated myself. Just in time because this random guy was approaching me -- so I biked off fast, and texted [bf] "omg some creepy guy just came!" and he was like "that was me" then I came back and laughed "I thought you were a bad guy!!! Or some kid who's obsessed with his flowers and came to see them after dark. " and he was like "I did come to see my flower"
THAT WAS SMOOTH AS HELL. FUCK YOUU!!!11 SO SMOOTH. WHAT THE FUCK. I also bought him a tiny bag of lindor's truffles that says "irresistibly smooth" to go with this card.
I signed the card "Thank you for not being a bad guy" ---
