"Black tongues speak faster than the car can crash. You supply the rumours and I'll provide the wrath. Romance is breaking every heart in two. Casting shadows in the pale shade of blue."
There were two babbus, now there is just one babbu. Larimama is much confuse.
The gemling headcanon thing on tumblr says that the gemling babs eventually meld together permanently to make a new gem. You would think a little Larimar clone and an Onyx clone would meld into Onyx and Larimar's official fusion, Tanzanite, buuuuuut I thought it'd be more interesting if the gemlings just formed into a new gemstone entirely. This is Moonstone. She's feisty. Larimar might start screeching in a few seconds
Onyx totally isn't gonna believe poor babbling Lari when she tries to explain the babbies melded into one. She's gonna think Larimar ate one or something, god damn it larimar
Guardian Wolf Statue of Mitake Shrine [ЎЅ^> (Mitake-jinja)] He is certainly Komainu [Ы¬], Guardian stature of jinja (shinto shirine). But he isn't a normal type of the komainu statue. Komainu in Japan originated Lion statues of ancient Eurasian continent as two pairs of Lion statues in lots of countries of Europe and Asia. But he is "ookami"(wolf). Some two pairs of komainu statues in Mitake Shrine are wolves.
Mitake Shrine is located at the top of Mount Mitake [Ўіq (Mitake-san)] in Okutama [ei] region in Tokyo. Mitake Shrine originated a mountain worship. Ancient Japanese worshipped a lot of existences in nature. There have been innumerable gods in nature. It's not only "sun", "moon", "mountains", "rivers", "sea" and so on, but also "old trees", "big stones", "mysterious creatures" and so on. One of them was a wolf. And one of gods who have lived in Mitake Shrine is Wolf god. It's one of episodes in Japanese mythology. When Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto [е,f
] (who is one of the heros in Japanese mythology) lost his way in a mountain district, a wolf appeared before him. A wolf acted as a guide and leaded Yamato-Takeru to the foot of mountain. Yamato-Takeru was thankful to wolf's help. It's an origin of Wolf god. There are some shrines which worship Wolf god "Oogushi-no-Magami ['г^]" in mountain districts of Chichibu [й6], Kai [2ђ] and Tama [i] area. Mitake is one of the biggest, oldest and most famous shrines of them. Therefore, some two pairs of wolf statues are dedicated in Mitake Shrine. I think it's a very nice mountain for a one day hiking from Tokyo. Especially, I recommend a season of autumnal leaves.
This was a big project from the weekend that I finished up today I am very happy with the outcome. The drawing measures 16x20 inches and was done with watercolor, gouache, and some colored pencil detail.
I decided to scan of this one, though the scan I got from FedEx completely chewed away the colors (especially the subtle background colors). I may go get a more professional scan later this week.
I've drawn this composition for Veloce and Auresque many times in my story and in sketches and it feels nice to finally polish one. I had so much fun on the fabric, hair, and ornaments on this one I wish every painting could be like this LOL
The Visrins' powers have changed the world for all, saved some and ruined equally many. Each Visrin dealt their heritage a different way. It gave Auresque freedom, she truly answer to no one, and felt no burden of world as if she was a god. For Veloce, her beloved daughter, it was the opposite. She holds just as much power and influence if she wills, but in the end, she let the decisions be made for her by her strength and heritage, in the form of responsibility, and her mother's legacy.
I'm super happy the team behind Them's Fightin' Herds got their game funded! Congrats to them and everyone who helped fund the game!

"When your army approaches my castle They see the decapitated heads of my enemies Stabbed and hanging from every branch in every tree, The destiny of the truth is to be hidden Yet the truth is right in front of your eyes, its written."
