This bronze statue of The Linesman is a tribute to the Dublin Dockers of the past and was created by contemporary Dublin artist Dony McManus. The linesmen were the men who tied up the ships to the quayside at time when bustling merchant ships docked on the River Liffey. It was unveiled in February 2000 and is located on City Quay between the Matt Talbot and Se'an O’Casey bridges.
