Burbank Boulder resides in Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts.  It is delicately perched on an outcrop of bedrock.  The boulder is a geologic gift, left behind by the glacier, as it retreated north through New England thousands of years ago.   Viewers are directed to an interesting paper on this subject, "Distributed Evidence: Mapping Named Erratics," by Jane  Hutton appearing in Making The Geologic Now, Punctum Books, 2012.
