Calda House is a ruined manor house by Loch Assynt. It was built in 1726 by the Clan Mackenzie after they captured Ardvreck Castle in 1672 and took control of the Assynt land, wanting a more modern property. The house had a short life, being destroyed by fire in 1737, this is what remians today.
