A neoclassical pavilion built in the 19th century. (Taken September 2024) The temple was constructed around 1810 at the request of Count von Matuschka-Greiffenclau, the then-owner of Falkenstein Castle. It served as a viewpoint and pavilion within the park, which was designed as a landscape garden. The temple was built in the style of a Roman round temple and named after "Victoria," the Roman goddess of victory.

Wied il-Ghasri, the Ghasri Valley, is a marvellous place for a country walk or bike ride, especially in winter and spring. L-Ghasri Valley is a deep gorge-like valley with very high cliffs carved into the Lower Coralline Limestone and the overlying Globerigerina Limestone. Wied il-Ghasri is very popular with divers who like to explore the surrounding underwater caves. In the 18th century, the inner part of Wied il-Ghasri was owned by a Maltese clockmaker who decided to dig a well in a cave entrance in the sea, creating what is known today as Ghar il-Qamh (transl. Grain Cave). The area is great for a swim on a fine day but is especially spectacular on windy days when you can enjoy the rage of the sea splashing against the cliffs from a safe distance. Where the valley meets the sea is an interesting cave with a shaft dug right up to the top of the steep cliffs above. This used to contain a rig of ropes and buckets to bring up sea water to fill the neighboring saltpans.

The Milky Way shines over Headlight Basin in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, home to the campsites backpackers use when heading to Lake Ingalls. Lake Ingalls is just a short distance behind you, and Mt Stuart is on your left as you relax and watch the stars over the valley below.
