I was told, this pillar was placed in order to take away some fear from children walking by to school. Who knows. There is a button triggering a playback of a song. The idea is, if you are afraid, stand yourself next to the pillar and listen to the song. :)

Shot at 11th of July 2024 on the Dam wall Erich K"astner lake Kranichstein-Darmstadt. Some ducks are relaxing :) The layer of view is from the viewer down to the ducks. Later the image has been leveled to the horizon. This should provide a better 3D impression of the ducks.

Surtshellir is a cave located in Hallmundarhraun lava field in West Iceland about 1 hour drive from the town Borgarnes. It is the longest lava tube in Iceland about 1970 meters long and 8-10 meters high. Surtshellir is the best known cave in Iceland and is named after the fire giant Surtr, a person from the Norse mythology. The cave is also mentioned in the book of Eggert 'Olafsson, Landn'amab'ok. Back in the days outlaws and sheep rustlers used to hide in the cave and steal the livestocks from the farmers in the area. Evidence of their existence in the cave have been found including, bones and signs of human habitation.
