Spring has sprung and Tetratheca juncea (sometimes called Black-eyed Susan) is in flower along with many other native plants. Tetratheca juncea is listed as a threatened species in New South Wales. This panorama was taken at only 10 centimetres off the ground to give an 'insects eye view' of this patch of the flowers.

Through many of the dryer, flatter parts of New Zealand these massive irrigators are changing the landscape with water now available to keep once parched earth green all year round. Dairying soon follows. This shot is taken near Tarras and would be interesting to make again in the the dry summer months...
