Ares is a small fishermen village placed in the "ria" that takes its name, in the Ferrolterra "comarca" (shire), province of A Coru~na, Galicia (NW of Spain). It is remarkable because of its tipical one storey houses, with galleries and balconades, as well as the "indiano" style buildings. ("Indiano" is the name given to those that returned from America, having achieved good fortunes). The photo is taken from the "Rampa" (ramp), that was part of the original piers. Next to it, you can see a "dorna" (traditional Galician boat). References: In English: Wikipedia In Galician and Spanish: Concello de Ares Galipedia Wikipedia
