Aerial photography by skycam.ee / Jaan Kronberg Kostivere is the best-known Karst region in Estonia and the biggest in Harjumaa (its total area is 125 hectares).A large region with the total area of 16 hectares is under state protection. That part of the Karst region is also the most interesting one. In the Karst region, the J~oel"ahtme River goes underground near the Kostivere settlement and comes up again near an old bridge in J~oel"ahtme. Near the river's underground course interesting limestone Karst formations such as open cracks, Karst ditches, funnels, and valleys up to 5 meters deep, can be found. Here are also small caves, the largest of them is Karjakelder that is 6 meters long, 4 meters wide and 2.5 meters high. The bottom of the grotto is always covered with water. Here is also one Karst bridge and peculiar residual rocks known as "stone mushrooms" in the Karst region.

For many commuters around the world, a subway journey means speeding from one drab station to the next, surrounded by too many uncomfortable, impatient bodies. Completely different story was in USSR and now in Russia. In Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev, Minsk and other big cities metro stations were designed as architectural wonders. Taking the subway is akin to walking through a national heritage sit. Depending on where you get off, you'll receive a crash course in such diverse architectural movements as Baroque, Art Deco, Futurism, Modern or Hi-tech, and face from stained glass windows, marble columns, crystal chandeliers, gilded mosaics and painted scenes from Russian history to modern iron and glass. Russia's first metro system was part of Joseph Stalin's first Five-Year Plan to rapidly industrialize the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 30s. The main idea was to show its citizens and the world the power and possibilities of socially oriented state. All this magnificent underground palaces were build as a transport system for the ordinary people. Now Moscow Metro is the busiest metro system outside of Asia, the world’s busiest by daily ridership and the 6th longest in the world (200 stations, route length is more than 350 km). Mayakovskaya station is one of the most beautiful stations of Moscow metro. Its project was awarded the Grand Prix at the world exhibition in New York in 1939.

NASA's Mars Exploration Program (Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS) Sol 3039: Mars – a Two-Rover Kind of Planet! The images for panorama obtained by the rover's 34-millimeter Mast Camera. The mosaic, which stretches about 30,000 pixels width, includes 123 images taken on Sol 3039 (February 22, 2021). Congratulations to Perseverance and the whole Mars 2020 team! An amazing achievement at any time but even more so during a global pandemic. I don’t think there was a dry eye yesterday, viewing that first image from Mars (shown above) after the incredible nail biting descent. We are all looking forward to the amazing science that will be done by our sister rover in Jezero Crater! But while everyone is still on a euphoric high from yesterday’s success and the knowledge that we again have two working rovers on the planet’s surface, we had to buckle down and get back to work in Gale today. Our plan today was complex, with many different activities for both the geology (GEO) and environmental (ENV) theme groups. We are continuing our drive across a rubbly, fractured terrain, analyzing bedrock as we go. APXS, MAHLI, ChemCam and Mastcam are tag teaming on a representative bedrock target (“Chalus”) in today’s workspace to maximize our understanding of this rubbly, fractured bedrock. Additionally, ChemCam is doing a series of passive (non-laser) observations on “Carlux,” “Carsac” and “Castels” – a tongue twisting group of names! These observations will be accompanied by Mastcam observations of the same targets, and of a fifth target “Issac” near the front of the rover. Our drive on sol 3038 takes us almost 45 metres closer to a hill called “Mont Mercou,” which is about 200 metres away from us right now, and the beginning of what we believe to be more sulfate-rich materials. For over 3000 sols (roughly eight years), we have been driving over fluvio-lacustrine sediments (typically found in rivers and lakes), with occasional forays into sand dunes (ancient and current). However, we have been eyeing this potentially sulfate-rich material for years, watching it get closer and closer. The transition from clay-rich to sulfate-rich is both puzzling and extremely important, and one we are looking forward to getting into! I was standing at 'Calle Fray Ceferino Gonzalez' near Seville Cathedral's south gate entry 'Puerta de San Cristobal' . I have finally managed to stitch a workable panorama on this very dynamic alley way full of people ! I have seen the Alcazar but I sure wish I still have more time to see and explore more of Seville ... the Cathedral, 'Archivo General de Indias' and more . Perhaps next time ... We were here sometime April 2019 From wikipedia : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seville https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seville_Cathedral https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Archive_of_the_Indies

Barr Creek Falls drops 240' down into the hidden Rogue River below outside of Prospect, Oregon. There is an upper & lower falls w/ a double waterfall during a high runoff. This is easily located just downstream from the nearby Mill Creek Falls.
