On holiday in January 2020 and took the 360 camera and tripod as an afterthought. So glad I did as Gran Canaria was so much greener, more scenic and photogenic than the other Canary Islands I had visited previously.

The old customs house in Frankfurt am Main was built in 1775 and was exposed to an eventful history. On April 22, 1779, a bullet struck during the coalition war. On October 11, 1790 the Hessian landgrave received Emperor Leopold II and his entourage. On April 22, 1797, the Austrian and French generals met and agreed an armistice. After the Second World War, the old customs house came into the hands of the city of Frankfurt and has been a restaurant since 1977.

It stands in the north of Bornheim, on the Eulenberg, the highest point in Bornheim. The facility consists of a rectangular weir courtyard with a rectangular plan of 22 by 28 meters. The guard house with kitchen and fountain room is located on the west side. The most striking component is the slender weir and watchtower with slate roof.
