Beach at the Foreshore Reserve in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. The sandy beach between the breakwater and Hopkins River is easily accessible via the 5.7 kilometre long Foreshore Promenade.

Inside the Polk Mine near Rogue River, Oregon. There are a few adits to this gold mine however this is the only one that wasn't caved. The saturated clay mud was a bear trying to navigate through the mine. Beyond the timber support beams is a narrow squeeze over a ceiling collapse w/ the adit not going much further. By the flooded partial cave-in entrance I found a coastal giant salamander sitting on a rotted log. A perfect habitat since this mine had the most gnats I have ever seen as they were hovering under the dew-laden tree roots on the ceiling. A lot of cave crickets & daddy-long legs also.
