aub is according to the number of its population with 860 inhabitants the smallest town in Rhineland-Palatinate. 1814 wrote Kaub military history, as Blucher as a Prussian field marshal and commander in chief of the Silesian army with 60,000 soldiers, 15,000 horses and 182 guns on a pontoon bridge crossed the Rhine here. The Bluecher monument (sculptor Professor Friedrich Schaper) shows the field marshal in field uniform.

The Vogelburg Castle, located in the middle of the Hochtaunus Nature Park, owes its origin to the initiative of a bird lover. A man who has been devoting himself to the care of parrots for decades. Tons of natural stones, processed by hand to a castle-like walls, provides home to countless macaws, cockatoos and amazons.

The Homomonument was designed to inspire and support lesbians and gays in their struggle against denial, oppression and discrimination. It is also a memorial to the men and women of the past who were oppressed and persecuted because of their homosexual feelings. It consists of three triangular shapes which together form a larger triangle. The placemark is in the center of the larger triangle.
