View inside a spectacular blue-tinted crevasse within the Jefferson Park Glacier on the north side of Mt. Jefferson, Oregon.  The glacier is located b/w 7,000 to 10,000 feet in elevation w/ this spot at about 8,000 feet.  It is the second largest glacier on the mountain after the Whitewater Glacier on the east side.  Walking through here is like a slot canyon (even have a cool little natural ice arch above) w/ an added bonus of 'organic' air conditioning, a good break from the sweaty sun-beaming climb up.  The area is loud w/ dripping water & occasional rock fall in the ever-changing environment.  Here the crevasse is about five feet wide at most & 100 feet up.  It is flooded, though don't be deceived - the crevasse is far deeper below the water w/ underwater icebergs weakly attached to the main ice walls.

The Bend Glacier is located on the north side of Broken Top in the Three Sisters Wilderness near Sisters, Oregon.  It is the larger of two glaciers on the mountain, though relatively small in area with a few jumbled crevasses in the center.  Here one can see a few tarns below the terminus in varied colors; this is from the top of the moraine which actually descends down in a ridge nearly half a mile, showing how much considerably larger the icefield was at the end of the Little Ice Age.  Hazy skies from forest fires has left distant views limited to just the Three Sisters themselves.

The Stadtpark (City Park) in Vienna, Austria is a large municipal park that extends from the Ringstrasse in the Innere Stadt first district up to the Heumarkt (Hay Market) in the Landstrasse third district. The park is divided in two sections by the Wienfluss (Vienna River), and has a total surface area of 65,000 square metres (28 acres). Scattered throughout the park are statues of famous Viennese artists, writers, and composers, including Hans Canon, Emil Jakob Schindler, Johann Strauss II, Franz Schubert, and Anton Bruckner.
