A red sticker placed by a police officer back on December 23, 2017 marks this vehicle as abandoned property as it has sat over a month here.  This is a Dodge Neon SRT-4, a sports compact car manufactured from 2003-2005.  The vehicle is dented & badly scratched, is stripped of license plates & hubcaps, plus the back seat has been torn down, as if something important was in the trunk.  There is numerous trash & cigarette butts, not to mention the key ignition has been ripped apart & the radio box is missing.  While it could have been simply abandoned, I believe it was stolen & it was probably drug-related, which is no surprise considering this wooded region is a safe haven for criminality & even murder.  Any given summer you can find large campouts of vehicles along nearby creeks & w/ these social outcasts who would hear your vehicle & come running up the road in paranoia, shouting at you and threatening you w/ the middle finger for no reason.  On a hike close to this area a few years back I had bumped into two meth addicts who looked like they had aged into their 80s & had a terrible speech b/c they had their lower jaws surgically removed.  A major drawback to the picturesque scenery, & there's not much police do to risk enforcing the law... it'll only get worse as the outlaws won't hesitate to point a gun at you.
