I was going to pick Phantom Planet, but the song I wanted to put wasn’t on seeqpod. Damn. If you want to look it up it’s called “I Don’t Mind”. Then my next song was called “She’s A Lover” by The Pretty Things. Also not on seeqpod. Find that one and you get 15 bonus points, from a point system that has no value or prize.

I’m taking a trip leaving sunday…So I may do a few updates to make up for the days i’m away. Where i’m going there are no tv’s, roads, clocks, AC, doors, or interwebs.

edit: Thanks to Mandy and her internet savviness for this other website that has both songs I mentioned go here for Pretty things and here for Phantom Planet. Although this version of the Phantom Planet song is acoustic/live, it’s still great, and I believe I may have been there during this recording. Strange!

edit again: HERE is the album version of I Don’t Mind, thanks to Lindsey Ann. Ok now i’m done with this post for good.

Came upon this tonight, couldn’t resist. Those things are fun, we went to see Slumdog Millionaire, I dug it, especially at the end when you may or may not be holding back a tear, and all of a sudden a total Bollywood dance sequence ensues, might have been my favorite part because of how rediculous it is. Sorry if I just spoiled that..

Spence showed me this song sometime earlier this year, one I hadn’t heard and quickly became one of my favorites. Also our friend Eric recorded a cover of this, not sure if it’s going to be on the Black Gold album or not but they nailed it I think. Not an easy feat. Easy feat? That Looks and sounds strange.
And if you’re at all bored, do some research on the letter Q. Some strange superstitions and things have been created, maybe not because of it but with it.

Hobo told me to say Happy New Year to everyone, I just want to thank you all for an amazing year and for your continous love, support and smiling faces. You’re the best. I think ‘09 is going to be a year to remember.. I could only come up with one resolution this year and it is this: Be better. What were yours?

Это было большим, чем просто решение группы, которое происходит в какой-то момент «хотите вы это сделать или нет». Мы просто в какой-то момент захотели сделать что-то и просто решили записать это в Чикаго.
Были ли вы предусмотрительны, не делая живой альбом так рано на своем карьерном пути, пока у вас был только один записанный альбом [A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out]?
Точно. В этом и суть. Все время, что мы были в турне с этим альбомом, до тех пор, когда мы могли быть хэдлайнерами, это было немного странно, ведь у нас было всего 12 песен. Мы закончили это и нуждались в каких-то новых вещах, чтобы играть на сцене, чтобы попытаться связать все это вместе и сделать большое шоу. Но теперь у нас есть два альбома с материалом и теперь это имеет смысл. Сделать это раньше, чем сейчас, было бы странно. И в то же время, мы не хотели сделать это слишком рано во время тура в поддержку второго альбома, просто потому что ты хочешь дать людям время, чтобы они привыкли к песням и нашли лучший вариант для игры их живьем и прочего. Все эти вещи заставили думать о том, когда настанет лучшее время.
