Chris Vrenna MisterManson. , , , , . .

You have been knowing Marilyn Manson since many years, and from the first
albums you have been collaborating to producion. After such a long time, how was it to produce again a Marilyn Manson album?

Chris Vrenna) Well, Manson, Twiggy, and I have know each other for over 15 years, so it
was more like a bunch of old friends making music together. And I think that
shows in the new record.

You had a short period experience as live drummer with the band, how did it feel to be back as a prominent member?
It is SO weird how I ended up in Manson's band. Ginger fell off a REALLY high stage and hurt himself right before the greatest hits tour in 2004. Manson called me to fill in and I never left. Of course Ginger has been back at drums and I now play keyboards live.

Please tell us about the new album,is it a real radical change in sound? Is it really so close to the sound of "antichrist",and since you collaborated with both of them, how do you see the maturity of Marilyn Manson as a band?
Well, I don't want to say much before the record comes out, but, I am very proud of it. It's hard to describe really...I think there are "classic" Manson elements but it's also very "experienced." I think it's one of the
best records the band has done. And again, it was just fun to write and record with real friends. I think our excitement shows.

In the past you have worked with famous international artist, and have been part of the music scene, how do you see today's music scene?
The music scene is bad in the US. Reality show like "American Idol" have taken the true art of music away and given it to a contest winner who can sing and look good in designer clothes. And then we also have the "tween" scene like the Jonas Brothers and the fact that MTV doesn't even PLAY music videos anymore...But the over marketing of music has actually freed up TRUE artists to write more and find new outlets for fans. I think music is actually in a better place now for us artists.

In today's worldwide use of the internet, some tracks are available on the internet before they are released. What do you think about that?
Well, I have to say I HATE stealing of music in any form. If a band chooses to put tracks online, that is great. We did it with "We're From America" for the new Manson CD. BUT, downloading unauthorized music is that same as walking into your local CD store and shoplifting the disc!!! I think true fans know that USUALLY songs found online before the record's release are either rough mixes or tracks and will wait to hear the music in the way the artist intended.
So...DO NOT STEAL MUSIC! WOULD YOU STEAL A PAIR OF JEANS OR A BOOK OR A DVD? NO. SO DON'T DO IT TO MUSIC. PLEASE.

Thanks to your profile on face book your fans can contact you directly, what do you think about the social networks to bring more fans closer their idols?
I like being able to talk with my fans, but, it can also be dangerous. Everyone online needs to respect others privacy regardless of who they are. I am NOT on Twitter...never will be! Who cares what I am doing right now. And I think people who do 'Twitter' or constantly update on Facebook have too much free time or are doing it for selfish reasons. And let's not forget all the imposters out there. I had an imposter on twitter pretending to be me and saying the dumbest stuff. He had MY name and used a photo of me so
his 'profile' looked legit. I had him kicked off for it. I love making new friends and I love meeting fans, but I'm old fashioned and prefer to do it personally whether in person or on my legitimate online outlets.

Few days ago, A track of the album "The High End Of Low" was made available for free on the official website. Can you tell us why the band decided to do so, being highly appreciated by the fans?
Manson always has been appreciative of his fans. This is simply another way, and we're excited for the fans to heard the new songs.

We're from America is a harsh criticism to the present American society.Obama's Administration seems to be willing to remedy to the disastrous global situaution we have come to,also because if the previous Bush's Administration. However, many of the promises the new president mede haven not been fulfilled: They seem to have been just a propaganda. What's your opinion about that?
Whoa...OK..you touched a nerve with me. Manson can (and always does) speak for himself. But, I have voted in EVERY US election since I was of legal age to do so , and I believe it is our obligation as a citizen to do so. We are on tour outside the US for many, many months of the year. It was sad to see how badly the world thought of us because of Bush's lies and the "war."
Obama has given us all here in the US and I believe in the world a new optimism. YES he has much to try and fix here, so you can NOT be so quick to pass judgment. It's been Fucking 3 months. Clinton left us with a huge US budget surplus that Bush ruined on a lie. As an American, I just feel relief that there is someone in power who understands real people and who is honest and really WANTS to fix things. That, in our country, is rare. I don't care if Obama takes years to fix our country. We just need a President who WANTS to fix it.

How was it to work with Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez,at the end together after many years, on the album "The High End of Low"? Can you tell us something about the moments you shared with them recording the album?
It was the best experience I've ever had making a record. They are my brothers.

You worked with many great personalities of music. What is the most important memory you have about carrer as a musician?
Well...I have too many, which humbles me every day...This new record with Manson and Twiggy, Woodstock with NIN, winning a Grammy, working with U2, seeing the world....there are just too many. But I will say, bands are brothers..and Manson and Twiggy are my brothers and this new record and tour
mean more to me than anything.

Very thank you for the interview, and good luck for the upcoming tour whit the band.
