Conclusion of Season One. Only a little in the way of new voices, but some interesting script stuff.

Angela has a great crazy laugh. Sebastian has a good morbid chuckle too.

Ranmao doesn't say much, but I like what she does say, with its simplistic English grammar emphasizing her imperfect command of the language.

I like Victoria's voice because it's so girlish. You couldn't mistake it for anything but a de-aged young thing. Pretty singing voice too.

Oh, my. When Ciel sets Sebastian off with his lapse of faith--what I've seen translated as, "Don't be stupid, there's no such thing as a soul," or something like, what we have in the English script is Ciel saying, "My soul? What would I want with that?" I had got the impression that what caused Sebastian to leave Ciel was Ciel's denial of the concept of souls, which would mean he owed nothing to Sebastian. This translation loses that whole idea, so, why does Sebastian abandon Ciel when he does? Don't like.

Ciel is not going to yell, "Hey, Sebastian!" ohfergodssake. *facepalm*

I love the coldness in Ash's voice when he turns from the rotting queen. Prick.

Ciel's softly mad cackle, oh, CHRIST. I could have had that every episode, dammit.

The blended Ash/Angela voice is terrific. Angela always feels like the lesser side of Ash because it's Ash who stands at the end, but this makes them seem more like two equal halves. Yay!

Sebastian's "I was seeing to the preparations for The Last Supper..." speech is toe-curlingly yummy. Blasphemy and food metaphors marry so well.
