Time to riot dear future dreamers! Dope Stars Inc. have been just confirmed to perform at \"Into Darkness Festival 2009\", the finest upcoming event set to spread chaos in October 2009. The festival tour will touch Germany, Belgium, France, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland and Netherlands. Your dear Cyberpunk rockers will be abroad touring with Swedish deathglammers Deathstars (Headliners), German Electro-pop-rockers Diary Of Dreams, and Canadian Alternative Synth rockers The Birthday Massacre. More dates of the Into Darkness Festival 2009 will be announced soon.



Important notice: We will not perform at the show in Berlin (23.10.2009 DE Berlin Columbia Club) as we'll be performing at the Cyberpunk Alternative Party in Helsinki (read below for more details)

Also more shows of the solo tour of Dope Stars Inc., originally planned for October, are in process to be moved and confirmed for November. The tour will extend the overall routing of Dope Stars Inc. to countries such as UK, Scandinavia, Russia and Southern Europe. So, be worried, and stay tuned cause soon there will be no safe place around in Europe.

On 23 October 2009 we'll be performing on the stage of Alternative Party 2009 (23-25 October), the most exciting event for Cyberpunks from all around the World. Dope Stars Inc. will be there as proud representants for the music field, being inspired by the world of Cyberpunk Imagery since their own inception. The festival will feature alot more than music only. You can find the program summary below:

Special guests
Sophie Wilson and Jeri Ellsworth bring wisdom and some mad skillz to the venue. Wilson, a pioneer of the 8-bit computing era and also an engineer of the ARM architecture, has even promised to bring an original Acorn System One prototype with her! If you have not noticed the Commodore 64 Direct-to-TV joystick, you might know Jeri Ellsworth from her and George Sanger's Fat Man and Circuit Girl show.

Competitions
Technical and artistic merits are nothing. Capture the big screen - or the PA system or the whole stage - in your creative endeavour. Can you do it in 320x200 pixels? Do you have what it takes to obliterate the competition with old 8-bit hardware? A friendly but challenging duel of skills is the heart of any demoparty. Even if your skills are focused around wearing an outfit worth noticing, we have something for you!

Music
As a meeting place of different aspects of culture, be it digital or analogue, we also bring noteworthy artists to carry you through the night...

Special sessions
In addition to Acorn System One live demo and a Fat Man and Circuit Girl live broadcast (you read it right!), a couple of panel discussions and workshops are planned. More details on these later

While machines have become more and more a part of our lives, the Alternative Party does not believe progress will stop merely with slightly better keyboards. The first real cybernetic developments have now become reality. Electronic eyes that let a blind person see. Robotic limbs that allow a cripple to walk. There are games that you control with your thought. However, these are only the beginning and, whether we like it or not, the time for cybernetic enhancements is quickly approaching. A time when people will not think twice about upgrading their hearing, their strength, their life span or even their thoughts. When humans develop to the point where they not only construct the world around them, but construct themselves.

The Alternative Party 2009 is celebrating this meshing of electronics, genetics and humans, and to open the future of our species and our identity to debate. After all, we want to become a cybernoid.
