Reviews: Finland's OCTOBER FALLS' atmospheric music is described as minimalist dark folk played with acoustic instruments. When thinking of other bands, OCTOBER FALLS may be compared to ULVER's classic "Kveldsjanger" album, or recently to EMPYRIUM, and even TENHI. OCTOBER FALLS presents a collection of instrumentals, with music composed primarily on the acoustic guitar, flute, and piano. The music is magical and emotional art to say the least in regards to these recordings. This is in a direction long since abandoned by ULVER, and recently embraced by bands such as TENHI and EMPYRIUM.
