Giovanna Antonelli (Jade) about her character: "Jade's cycled on a man whom she loves and she's posessed to make him her own man. As for me I am not ready to sacrifice everything to love. I believe in love, I am romantic by my character, I like when people make romantic actions for me, but everything has its edge. I never sacrifice my profession to love, because it's the most important thing in my life.
Murilo Benicio (Lucas/Leo/Diogo) about his characters: "Even if to play one character in a telenovel, there no time leaves for anything else. And imagine if you play 2 characters at the same time ! At the beginning of the novel I was two twins Lucas and Diogo, but that was only at the beginning because then Diogo dies. That moment it wasn't tyring because I was still "fresh". The hard work started with the clon Leo's appearance. I had to play 40-year-old Lucas and only 18-year-old Leo at the same time. Up to the evening I was so tired because of neverending changing of clothes, make-up, hair-styles. Everytime I had to change a bearing, a voice. But it was a tiredness full of satisfying, because The Clon is very interesting telenovel !"
Daniela Escobar (Maysa) about her character:"Glory for me is to go out and to hear: "Maysa !" This is the way how you find out that you have a success. The most important for me is not that people knows my name but that they identify me with my character. Most of people see in Maysa an elegant woman. That's why now I have a lot of offers to shoot for magazine's covers, but in moments when Maysa was cruel and immoral, for example when she had hidden her necklace in Xande's car, there were a lot of events when some early made offers were canceled the last moment..."
Dalton Vigh (Said) about his character: "It was difficult to play Said, he is too cruel person for me. Of course there were easy scenes when I was able to enjoy my work, but there were such difficult ones that I went with a hard heart. The most difficult for me were first shooting days in Maroc. I couldn't find Said in myself and to understand why is he so patient. I fell with my heart that my character lacked something. Thanks a lot to the director Jaime Monjardim: he always supported me and told me that I would manage everything"
Leticia Sabatella (Latiffa) about her character: "That was the happiest and easiest role in my carrier. It is so hurt for me to play a suffering character like Celeste in Babylon Tower, - I become one with my characters and live their misfortunes like they were mine. Above this I'm ionterested in Muslim culture and recorded a CD with a Eastern poetry: I read Rubai Omar Hayam and perform some compositions... To feel that my character in some degree doesn't let Jade be happy... This feeling of guilty was in my mind during all the shooting time."
