День Святого Иво. Святой Иво Кермартенский (1253-1303) стал считаться покровителем юристов и нотариусов из-за своей судебной деятельности. Он прославился своим участием в гражданских и уголовных процессах в качестве бесплатного адвоката для неимущих, позже стал судьей и был знаменит своей честностью и неподкупностью. Святой Иво также считается покровителем судебных приставов и присяжных заседателей. Отмечается 19 мая.

В национальном отборочном туре на право представлять Финляндию на Евровидении-2006 Lordi победили с результатом 42,2%. За их главного конкурента Томи Метсакето проголосовало всего 28,5% зрителей. Музыканты Lordi собираются выйти на сцену Евровидения-2006 в необычном имидже — в костюме монстров, сообщает music.ru. В прошлом году зрителей Евровидения удивили норвежцы — рок-команда Wig Wam вышла в финал и заняла 9-е место в общем зачете. Так что «шутка» финнов может оказаться удачной.
