As I've mentioned Before, I've Been Trying to work more blank time into my Life. Time WHERE I'm not reading or Sitting down to write A few words on my Blog or reading A book, or running errands or cooking or reorganizing or putzing around ....
Just time to Sit. Literally, just Sit there and do nothing. {Or sometimes, Lay in hot bubble bath A and do nothing.} Part of me wants to Run Screaming When I think of doing this. How can I bear to just Sit there?
What will I do?
And another Part of me says Ahhhhh. Sigh. Finally.
When I do manage to do it, I begin to Notice Patterns in my thoughts. I Notice How I want to Run Screaming. How I feel like I have to have something to do. What That might mean, is there something wrong with me { ?} How lovely and the newly vacuumed carpet Looks, and How the sunlight Seems to warm the whole room as it comes streaming through the window, and Gosh, How nice the house is to be in. I Listen to the silence, and A lot of Times, many little clarifying thoughts Come to me, as if They Were just waiting for the Space. Funny thoughts and things like, what to do with That empty shelf in the bathroom or, what to Plant in the garden next year A few biggish things like WHERE is my work headed next? and what Makes me happy? They Come Because I'm feeling unhurried, and once I Get past the initial fits, I tend to enjoy it A lot, in A Deep calm Thoughtful Which way I can see Being useful in my everyday swing of things. Just not all the time. Sigh.
PS I found this jar behind a wall in my home that we knocked down, then put new walls up.
It looks quite old, and I would date it around 1940. Interesting, is not it?

A reason, a season, or a lifetime?
I really love this beautiful poem that I found, and I thought I would share it with you.
Reason, Season, or Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
