raymond scott is pretty much the reason why i (almost) stopped listening to "modern" music, about a year ago now. and (few months ago) got into incidental / space age pop stuff. though he does not belong to those, his music can be considered as incidental, since it was used in warners bros cartoons a lot, at that time.
he called his music "descriptive jazz", and mostly it is very energetic and crazy kind of thing, but not this one, it was even quite surprising, but this is rather, what i would call, desperate / miserable kind of thing, or something like that. this is from the "get happy" album, i am just about to listen.
this is a direct vinyl rip so it has some cracking and popping.. a lot of it, actually.

what kind of stuff can you see while listening to it? the title is perfect, i think
