Smosh is a video-creating duo that has established fame on YouTube; it consists of childhood friends Anthony Padilla (born 16 September 1987) and Ian Hecox (born 30 November 1987). Smosh is the number one most subscribed channel of all time on YouTube (as of May 2007), with 109,000+ subscribers, over 15,000 more than any other channel.[1] Smosh's videos have been viewed by millions of people and have appeared on mainstream television. Padilla and Hecox both attend American River College and live in Carmichael, California, a city near Sacramento.
Smosh's Pokémon Theme Music Video is the fourth most viewed video on YouTube, with over 24 million views (as of May 2007).[2] In March 2007, Smosh won the award for "Best Comedy of 2006"[3] with the video "Smosh Short 2: Stranded" in YouTube's first ever YouTube Video Awards.
